A petal envelope is a great alternative to the standard invitation envelope. They are available in a variety of colors but it’s pretty easy to make your own using our free downloadable template. It works with any 5”x5” invitation of your choice. The invitations can be handcrafted on some festive paper or designed on your computer.
What You’ll Need:
• 12”x12” piece of double-sided scrapbooking paper (plain or patterned)
• bone folder or exacto knife
• personalized Halloween label
Step 1: Download the template below and print it out onto regular printer paper. It measures 10 ½” x 10 ½” so you’ll need to print it on 11”x17” or two sheets of 8 ½”x11.
Step 2: Tape the template onto your scrapbook paper and cut out the template. You can save the template for another day
Step 3: On your scrapbooking paper, score the areas referenced on your template with either a bone folder or the non-cutting (flat) side of your exacto blade. Use a ruler to keep your score lines straight.
Step 4. Fold each of the petal flaps in and press firmly to crease the fold. Open the flaps and insert the 5”x5” invitation of your choice. Fold the flaps closed and secure with a personalized Halloween label.
